How to configure the SMTP server on Linux?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For configuration of the SMTP server on your Linux-based systems, follow these instructions.<\/p>\n

Step 1: Update Your System Packages<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is a necessary step for Linux users to make sure that all the system files are updated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y<\/pre>\n<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<\/table>\n

Run the following three commands to allow the firewall for Postfix SMTPS access.<\/p>\n

You can utilize this command to allow Postfix SMTPS on your Linux system:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Run the command to allow Postfix to accept incoming email submissions from clients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These commands are essential to allow traffic for Postfix, SMTPS, and email submissions from clients through the firewall.<\/p>\n
Step 8: Restart Postfix<\/strong><\/p>\n
Your Linux machine now needs to restart the Postfix service for the changes to take effect:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
