Flatpak applications are somewhat more controlled, stable, and I recommend them instead of Snaps. PPAs are hosted by the community and are maintained by individuals, where PPAs typically house the packages&#8217; latest release, which has not yet been pushed to the default repository. Now firefox is also available from PPA. The new PPA also includes a different Firefox ESR.
